Supporting Louisiana Beekeepers: Our Commitment to Pollinator Protection

Why Beekeepers Matter in Louisiana

Beekeepers play a vital role in Louisiana’s agriculture, environment, and local communities. Honey bees not only produce honey and beeswax but are also essential pollinators for many crops and wild plants. Their work supports food production, biodiversity, and the health of our natural ecosystems. In a state like Louisiana—where agriculture is a cornerstone of the economy and diverse flora thrives—protecting bees and supporting beekeepers is crucial.

Mosquito control services, when not carefully managed, can inadvertently impact local bee populations. By prioritizing pollinator safety, we help sustain the essential work of beekeepers and the well-being of Louisiana’s environment.

Access the Louisiana Department of Agriculture Beekeeper List

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) maintains an up-to-date list of registered beekeepers across the state. This resource allows residents, farmers, and service providers to be able to locate and connect with local beekeepers, request swarm removals, or seek pollination services. It also helps ensure that only registered, responsible beekeepers are engaged, supporting industry standards and bee health.
